Canteens Advisory Service

The Canteens Advisory Service (CAS) has been funded by the Department of Health to support schools with primary school-age children to provide and promote healthy food choices. The service aims to support schools with the implementation of the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development’s School Canteens and Other School Food Services Policy which was launched in 2006. The policy applies to ALL food service provision by the school to students including canteens, external lunch orders providers, breakfast and out of school hour care programs, especial events and fundraising activities.
